12 Found Objects at App Theatre

$5 General Admission ‍ ‍ Originally conceived by Raleigh Adams, this one-night-only special screening features 12 short films, each showcasing one original work of fine art. Each artwork is crafted from natural, hand-foraged materials sourced across the state—ranging from Appalachian mountain hardwoods to Piedmont pinecones and coastal seashells. The films are directed by Trimella Chaney, an acclaimed director and beloved former educator at Watauga High School and Appalachian State University. Bringing Raleigh’s original concept to life, this project marks a creative reunion between Chaney and Adams, who first worked together when Adams was her student.
