Holiday Inn Express – Blowing Rock Reopens and Invites Community to Celebrate

Opal Hotels Group is excited to announce the reopening of the Holiday Inn Express – Blowing Rock in July, welcoming guests back to the High Country after investment in extensive infrastructure and site improvement projects. The reopening marks an important milestone for the hotel, the local community, and the many travelers who visit Blowing Rock throughout the year. Over the last year, the property completed significant improvements to its exterior infrastructure, including a comprehensive upgrade and replacement of its underground stormwater management system and a newly resurfaced parking lot. Additional enhancements included new sidewalks, exterior lighting, retaining walls, landscape restoration, and other site improvements designed to preserve the welcoming experience guests have come to expect. Located near downtown Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway, the 118-room hotel is once again ready to serve visitors exploring North Carolina’s High Country, Appalachian State University, local attractions, outdoor recreation, and year-round events. To celebrate the reopening, the hotel will host a Community Open House on August 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Residents, business partners, elected officials, tourism leaders, and community members are invited to stop by, tour the property, meet the team, and help celebrate the hotel’s return to Blowing Rock.
